Hand-engraved unglazed earthenware plate, 21cm
exhibited as part of Plate, Herrick Gallery
The text is taken from a rubbing I made of a grave-stone in Devon, which I then
hand-engraved into the clay plate before firing.
The plate holds food that is used to fuel the body. The body in turn becomes food for worms.
